Are You Using Coupon Codes...

If your not then once again you are missing out.  A few days ago I posted a coupon code for New York and Company where you could take $10.00 off your purchase with no minimum required.  Well...I got this cute little sweater in the gray color that originally was $42.00, on  clearance for $9.99. 

 

I also purchased a cute little stretchable flower ring for $4.95.  After applying my $10.00 coupon code my total for the order was $4.95, which was for the cost of the ring.  The shipping was  $4.95 as well....Grand Total for the sweater and the ring $10.75.  I so love not paying retail for ANYTHING!!!

Who Would've "Thunk" It...

If you are not stopping into your local thrift stores every now and then it's no telling what you have been missing. There is a great Salvation Army Store about 30 miles from where I live that has what they call a "Boutique" section.  Here in the boutique section is where you will find items that have new tags still on them or bore the label of an expensive designer.  I went today and found some really good deals.

I am a sucker for sandals that strap around the entire ankle.  Not sure of what the brand is on these shoes as there were no original tags, just the size and that they are made of a leather upper.  They are new and don't appear to have ever been worn, but what I am sure of is that I liked the shoe, I LOVED the color and the studs were just like icing on the cake, but the best thing of all .. these were just $6.00.

I also stumbled across this really cute Michael Kors Stud Top for $3.00, and the only thing wrong with it...

 One of the studs just needs to be sewn down with some red thread.  This shirt still had the original Macy's tags still attached which shows the top retailed for $69.50  I also threw in my basket 3 dresses that had the original tags on them which range from $100.00 to $120.00, they were $3.00 each, 2 of them I just need to replace the zipper, 3 bracelets that were $1.00 each and 1 pair of earrings for $3.95.  I spent a little over $25.00.  I figured out the best day to go is on Wednesdays, can't wait to see what treasures I can find on next week.

My Colin Stuart Lace Up's

I spotted the cutest Colin Stuart lace up shoes on Ebay last week.  The auction  had 1 minute til closing with the highest bid at $2.95...Yes there was a FLAW, the toe band on the right shoe was separated at the center.

 

I went ahead and placed my bid because I thought a shoe repair could easily fix this.  Needless to say I won them for $5.50, with shipping I paid $10.45.  Well the shoes arrived Saturday and I immediately took them to my local shoe repair to see how much they would charge to fix this small little flaw...$30.00 bucks!!!  I was floored as all the shoe needed was to be sewn and connected together at the toe band.  I left the store, shoes in hand and headed over to Walgreen's to pick up a bottle of Mighty Mendit for $8.99.

This stuff is great.  When I got home I immediately used the glue on my shoe and instantly my problem was fixed.  This glue is a permanent bonding agent and works on bonding fabric, lace, trim, leather and wood.  It  holds fast and is quick to dry, great for quick repairs.  My shoes were dry in less then two hours.  On my toes...SCANDAL by Sinful Colors
